Having a last minute home happy hour usually means needing a quick run to the store for fresh garnish. Sometimes we’d get to the store only to find they’re out of stock. But we found a great way to make happy hour easier and save money as well.

Limes have seasonal pricing and with today’s labor shortages and freight costs, some stores have prices of over $1.00 per lime.

OUR TIP: Next time you see limes on sale, buy a few extra, clean them, slice them, then freeze them individually. Later when frozen, you can transfer them into a smaller bag for longer storage.

When ready to use, just a few minutes to thaw and they’re ready to juice. Or just put the frozen lime right in drink and your happy hour cocktail is ready.
