Buttermilk Eatery Opens in St Petersburg for Breakfast and Brunch

Buttermilk Eatery restaurant in St. Petersburg opened this week on January 16th and located just off the intersection of Roosevelt and Gandy.

Only serving breakfast and brunch, the former Crabby Bills Fish Camp space is completely renovated.

As you enter the main door, straight ahead is the coffee bar counter for grab and go and take out.

For inside dining, pick a seat at any table and there’s an QR code for the instructions on how to order your meal via your smartphone.

The first time is a little confusing, but once you’re set up, it’s easier than you thought.

The bacon and egg breakfast ($12.99) is two eggs with a side and your choice with toast or pancakes.  I chose hash browns and was impressed that you can request the potatoes cooked well done or soft serve.

The espresso ($3.00) came with a side of almond biscotti. Nice touch.

The wait staff was beyond helpful, but the coolest employee is their kitchen runner - a talking robot. Brings your food right from the kitchen and says “Thank You” as she leaves. They have several of these on staff.

Make sure to sign up for their rewards program that give you a bunch of points towards free meals.
